About Scott

Scott Sims, the founder of Sims Custom Carpentry, has been immersed in the world of construction since 2002. He honed his skills at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Moose Jaw, earning his Red Seal Journeyman status in 2008—a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. Scott's talent was recognized early on when he received the prestigious George Pellerin Memorial Scholarship as an outstanding new journeyman. After years of framing, Scott discovered a passion for cabinetry and finish carpentry, leading him to specialize in this area. With over a decade of experience in residential renovations and kitchen and bath remodels, Scott decided to launch Sims Custom Carpentry in 2020. Outside of work, he's a proud husband and father of three, bringing the same care and precision to his craft as he does to his family.
